Ruby color. Nose is velvet and shows good balance of fruit aromas and hints of aging. Flavor bouquet appears with fruits, red and black berries: strawberry jam, fresh strawberry, dried plums, plum fruit candy, bay leaf, tobacco, black pepper, turmeric. Well-balanced, full-bodied and velvet on the palate with good structure. One the finish it lasts with chocolate.

Manual harvesting in October 2021. Grape processing and fermentation of each block separately: manual grape bunch sorting, destemming, optical sorting of grape berries, gentle grape crushing. A fermentation on lees and subsequent post-maceration in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels for about 3 weeks, systematic remontage, delestage, malolactic fermentation. 70% of total volume was aged in French oak boots for a period of 10 months.

Juniper tall

Juniperus excelsa, commonly called the Greek juniper, is an ancient giant that can be found throughout the territory of the Skalisty Bereg winery. Juniper appeared on our planet more than 50 million years ago, and today many of its species are listed in the Red Book. Mature juniper trees can reach a height of up to 25 meters and noticeable due to the dense green spreading foliage. Dark blue cones berries of juniper ripen at the end of summer, the same period like grapes do, and the forest is filled with an expressive pricy pine aroma. Marinades and sauces are made from juniper cones that go well with game, meat and fish dishes.
